Estimadas familias,

Asamblea de Amor y Amistad

As a culminating event to recognize and celebrate all of the social-emotional learning that occurred this month, the grade 2 students and teachers led

our school’s Pink Shirt Day assembly. This assembly highlighted classroom learning that has occurred over the past weeks. The grade 2 classes used a series of picture books that focused on social emotional learning topics and how to support each other through difficult feelings such as anger and sadness, and how to celebrate one another when we are having positive feelings. In preparation for this assembly, representatives from each of the grade 2 classes circulated through the school interviewing other student about their emotions and what friendship means to them.

These findings were shared at the assembly through speaking, videos and song. ¡Buen trabajo grado 2!

Our Personal Hygiene Product- School to School Giving Drive was a great success. We can still collect items if you have not yet had a chance to drop them off.

Items will be donated to our partner middle school in another area of Calgary before Spring Break.

Thank you for your generosity and caring!

Student-led Conferences – March 14 (4:30pm – 8:15pm)

We are pleased to invite all families to join us for Student-led Conferences on March

14. This is a great opportunity for you to experience your child’s learning in a way that celebrates their voice and allows you to see first hand how they access tools or resources in their environment.

Families are invited to visit their child’s classroom during one of 5 evening blocks which you will be able to book through our usual conference management system. We ask that families honor the time they have reserved so that we can ensure equitable access to each classroom throughout the evening. As you will be sharing the space with several other families, this is not intended to be a time to connect with the teacher about complex concerns. Please reach out for a separate phone call or meeting if you have concerns that require attention.

REMINDER - Intent to Return

Planning for the next school year has already started and an important factor is knowing who will be joining/continuing with the Eugene Coste community next year. Survey links have been mailed to all families. We thank you for taking the time to provide your input- it will take less than 2 minutes!
