Estimadas familias,
What an uplifting week it has been—filled with meaningful learning, sunshine, and countless moments that stretched our thinking in exciting ways! We’re thrilled to celebrate the opportunities of our Grade 4/5 students, who were accepted to a variety of Campus Calgary Open Minds sites, including 2School, the Werklund Centre, and Arts Commons. Students will also dive into hands-on, on-site critical thinking experiences through Minds in Motion. A heartfelt thank you goes to our dedicated Grade 4/5 teaching team for the tremendous planning behind these opportunities, and to our wonderful parent volunteers whose support makes full participation possible.
Our Open House was well attended! It was a joy to meet so many future families and to feel enthusiasm for our school community. We eagerly look forward to welcoming our new students in June 2026 as they explore classrooms, meet teachers, and begin forming meaningful connections.
We would also like to extend our gratitude to School Council and the Enrichment Society for supporting our upcoming residency with Jeff Stockton. Teachers have already begun collaborating with Jeff to design powerful storytelling experiences that will enrich student learning in the coming months.
This Friday, Jan. 30, 2026, our teachers will be engaging in a variety of Professional Development sessions so there is no school for students. We are excited for the new ideas and inspiration they will bring back to the classroom.
Finally, we offer a warm and heartfelt thank you to Nguyen, our Educational Assistant, for the care, kindness, and support she has shown our students. We wish her all the very best on her next chapter. We will begin the process of hiring a new Educational Assistant shortly.
Con aprecio,
Carmen Fandino
