Estimadas familias,

Our dance residency is now in full swing, and students are enthusiastically combining movement, rhythm, coordination, emotion, and social connection. It’s a wonderful recipe for building strong, resilient minds. Students will be welcomed in their homeroom class by their teacher at 5:30pm to ready themselves for the performance. We are thrilled you will join us for the performance. Please note the classes below:

We are welcoming grandparents to our rehearsal as space is limited for the evening performance. Teachers have sent rehearsal times in their Friday message. In the spirit of giving, we will be collecting non-perishable items for our Calgary Food Bank.  Boxes will be placed at our main entrance, please sign in and make your way to the gym for the performance.

We want to thank all parents who could not make it to conferences for setting up an alternate time with your child’s teacher to discuss their learning. The goals for Students with an IPP are updated and communicated regularly, if you feel you need more time to discuss, please connect with your child’s teacher.

Our patrollers have begun their duties, many thanks to the community for stepping up with safety in mind and supporting this leadership opportunity.

We celebrate our student’s participation in learning outside of their classroom assignments as demonstrated through the Monarch Butterfly Project in our learning commons. This project has generated many student comments and questions, adding to their continual learning.

With gratitude,

Carmen Fandino

Fun Lunches

Fun lunches are offered throughout the year to students who wish to participate.  We receive our lunches through Healthy Hunger, an online platform that delivers pre-ordered lunches to the school in which a portion of the proceeds goes to the school.

On the day of the event, lunches are sorted and delivered to your child’s classroom by parent volunteers.  If you would like to participate, please register your child at www.healthyhunger.ca . Lunches must be ordered prior to midnight, 5 days before the fun lunch event.

We kindly ask that if your child is absent the day of the fun lunch, please contact the school prior to 10:30am, if you wish to pick it up the same day, after 1:30pm.
