Estimada Comunidad de Eugene Coste School,
It was a joy to watch our Grade Three students perform Amigos and set such an upbeat tone with their dance at Que Pasa 2026—a vibrant celebration of learning for all Spanish Bilingual Programs from Kindergarten through High School. The show truly delivered, and most importantly, our students rose to the moment. They demonstrated how their learning can be shared with pride and how it meaningfully contributes to our community through curricular outcomes.
We are deeply grateful for the unwavering support of our families and community. This event would not have been possible without you. The costumes and boombox were a huge hit (even becoming a photo‑op favourite); gracias to the creative mom who brought that vision to life.
A heartfelt thank you goes to our dedicated teachers—Sra. Rumel, Sr. Boris, Srta. Jeanne, and Sr. Arance—for the countless hours of planning and preparation that shaped such a memorable experience for our students.
The grand finale moved me to tears as students led Es la música (It’s the music). The message of friendship and connection remains beautifully etched in this moment and in the image that captures it.
Que Pasa after the grande finale, students gathered in to celebrate their accompishment.
Thank you to our grade 4/5 Teachers for all their planning in making Camp a great experience for our grade 5 students who will also carry forward all the beautiful friendship memories.
Sr. Gossen, Srta. Micah, Ms. Holly and Sr. Vargas leadership’s during camp made all the difference in having a positive outdoor learning experience that camp provides.
We look forward to hearing all the stories and memories from their adventure.
As we have begun planning for next year, please know that we will be sharing this planning at our School Council on May 21, 2026. We hope many of you can join us as we engage you in the organization.
A friendly reminder, and in alignment with Calgary Board of Education (CBE) safety protocols, aerosol products such as body sprays, sunscreens, deodorants, perfumes, and air fresheners are not permitted for student use on school property. These products can trigger respiratory issues, allergies, and sensitivities for students and staff, and they also pose safety risks when used in enclosed spaces. Please ensure your child does not bring aerosol sprays of any kind to school. Our goal is to keep our school environment safe, inclusive, and comfortable for all students. Thank you for your cooperation.
Con gratitud,
Carmen
