October 3, 2025
Estimadas familias,
We extend our sincere thanks to all families who attended our recent Open House and Meet the Teacher event. Your presence and feedback were greatly appreciated, especially as this was our first time using this format. We hope you also enjoyed the food trucks, generously organized by our School Council and Enrichment Society.
We would also like to express our gratitude to our dedicated support staff, whose daily contributions, whether through supervision, classroom assistance, or managing our lost and found, you make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students.
A special thank you goes to our teachers for completing the mandatory Alberta Education Universal Screeners in literacy and
numeracy for students in Grades 1 to 3. For more information about these screeners, please visit: https://www.alberta.ca/literacy-and-numeracy-screening
Families have received information from CBE regarding school closures on October 6, 2025. For updates please refer to
the labour action page.
We deeply value our school community and appreciate your continued commitment and support.

Understanding Universal Screeners
Universal screeners assess students’ foundational skills in literacy and numeracy skills bur are not necessarily aligned with the curriculum. In the Calgary Board of Education, teachers administer mandatory literacy and numeracy screening assessments in kindergarten to Grade 3.
