Estimadas familias,
September invites a lot of engagement between home and school. This is an important time to build connection and relationships with each other. One of our key contact points with families is our Parent Teacher Open House Event this September 25, 2025, from 4:30 - 7:00 pm. This will be an opportunity for you to meet your child’s teacher and understand some key information that is provided by the teacher, such as communication, curriculum, volunteer, google classroom, class design, assessment practices, and class procedures. As this will be an Open House Event, thus not run like conferences, we want to ensure you will have an opportunity to connect with your child’s teacher. The format of the Open House will include an opportunity to meet your child’s teacher in one of three possible time slots:
1) 4:30pm,
2) 5:15pm or
3) 6pm
There will be a lot happening that day: food trucks brought in by our amazing School Council and Enrichment Society; a chance to visit the Sensory Room, our book fair in the learning commons, and a visit to the music room.
On September 29, we will be booking Virtual Conferences for students with Individual Program Plans; our Kindergarten teachers will call and book at a mutually convenient time.
We were happy to have our first Welcome Back Assembly with students so they could meet the caring adults in the building and be inspired for the year ahead. It was a real treat to listen to our grade 4/5 students sing our Eugene Coste song.
We are practicing for our Terry Fox Run, which will take place on September 18, 2025. The theme this year is “Finish It” and we will! Your donations to the Terry Fox Foundation can be done through their fundraising page.

School Council and the Enrichment Society are happy to sponsor a Welcome back to school event on September 25, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
Meet up in the parking lot and grab dinner at one of the onsite food trucks Mexican Burrito, Il Forno, or Vagabond Pizza.
This is a great opportunity to meet and mingle amongst fellow parents, students and friends.
